Der Natur auf die Sprünge helfen

Wir wollen der Entwicklung des Biotops etwas auf die Sprünge helfen. Aktuelle besiedeln zwar jede Menge Kleinstlebewesen bis hin zu Libellenlarven die Teiche im Nippchen, größere Stillgewässerbewohner fehlen jedoch. Bereits im letzten Jahr hatten wir in Teich 2 ca. 40 Moderlieschen eingesetzt, die jedoch kurzer Zeit später von einem Kormoran herausgefischt wurden - so unsere Beobachtung. Bis heute gab es keine Nachweis von verbliebenen Moderlieschen oder gar eingeschleppten/-geschwemmten Fischen.
Da insbesondere in diesem sehr warmen Sommer ein starker Algenwuchs und eine großflächige Wasserlinsenverbreitung eingetreten ist, haben wir heute 100 Karauschen, eine heimische Fischart, in die Teiche 3, 4 und 6 eingesetzt. Die Karauschen werden sich sicherlich den Wasserlinsen widmen und diese hoffentlich nennenswert dezimieren.
Ein weiterer Besatz der Teiche mit heimischen Fischarten wie Rotfedern, Moderlieschen und Bitterlingen sowie Teichmuscheln ist geplant.
Es bleibt abzuwarten, wann die ersten fischfressenden Vogelarten im Nippchen eintreffen. Zum Schutz der Fische sollen noch einige Unterstände in den einzelnen Teichen installiert werden. Wir werden berichten, wenn es Neuigkeiten zu diesem Thema gibt.
